Beginner Class Instruction
These small classes provide an introduction to strings study in an engaging and supportive group setting. Students learn the fundamentals of first-year study, including instrument technique and music reading. Classes explore a variety of music styles through group and solo playing and participate in NCA concerts. Teachers facilitate the transition to individual study after meeting specific benchmarks for each level of study.
Children's Chamber Orchestra
Graduates of 'Twinkle Twinkle' are eligible to play in the Training Orchestra. Our chamber orchestra, is open to all. It has rotating conductors, including Dr Lisa Walker, Marta Tadesse, and Timothy Lacrosse. The students participate in sectionals, which not only develop their technical and musical skills, but also promote camaraderie and pride within each section.
Our youngest chamber musicians start at age 5 in quartets with children close to the same age. We also have teen quartets of beginner, intermediate, and advanced players
